Enlisted and Expecting

Little Airman on the way?  Rocking the blues and the baby bump?  Welcome to the club!

This series speaks to the expecting Airman, whether you're enlisted or commissioned.  It just made for a cute title.  :)  Maybe you're just considering having children and want to know what the experience as like as a female service member.

I wanted to both document and share my experience with others who might otherwise only hear about procedures and policies through the grapevine after the fact.  Stick with me, fellow Airman mommies!

My Own Force Management - The big announcement!

You're Pregnant, Now What? - Informing my command, getting on a profile.

Maternity Uniforms - Acquisition, regulations, and tips from twenty-two weeks of gestation.

32 Week Update - Update on my uniforms, with recommendations and gripes.

Making the Scene...Maternity Style! - Semi-Formal dressing while pregnant.

If you're on time, you're late... - MAC's birth announcement.

MAC's Birth Story - Self-explanatory!

Motherhood and the Military - My first impressions of being both an Airman and a mother.

Returning to Duty - The first two days back in uniform.

Postpartum PT - The reality of a looming PT test.

I've been looking for this "top secret information" EVERYWHERE and haven't been able to find a decent answer. I'm glad that you are doing a series on this and I hope to learn from this as well.

@ezzy's blog - Any specific questions you want me to address? I've been lagging, but I'm about to do some of the first postings on maternity uniforms!

Boy does this bring back memories. When I had my first as an E-3 in 1979 I got to wear civilian clothes--they didn't even HAVE materninty uniforms!
