I've been tagged!

By two people, no less!  After catching up on 250+ blog posts (with a large number of them being penned by Perez Hilton), I came across the lovely Kindle and Sara Mac's shout-outs to me!  Thanks ladies!

10 Things I Love - Rule #1 is to name who tagged you, which was Kindle @ 365 Days and Counting.

Rule #2 is to list ten things you love.

  • DH
  • Family and Friends
  • All of my running gadgets (my Garmin, my RoadID) and my New Balances.
  • Apple products.
  • My BlackBerry - it has saved me on more than one occasion, usually from boredom.
  • Traveling - I'm with Kindle - anywhere!  Dying to get back to Nashville soon!
  • My students!  I really do love what I do!
  • Napping - DH says it needs to be on the top of the list!
  • Eating - sweets, chocolate, everything that doesn't contribute to my fabulous new body!
  • Makeup

Rule #3 is to tag ten people and notify them through a comment.

Sara Mac loves me!  Yay!  As a result of this fabulous love, I must name seven facts about myself and tag seven people.  I feel like there's so many memes, I have no other fun facts to tell!
  • I am a born and raised Californian.  I was born in the LBC (you know, Snoop's territory) and raised lived in Orange County my entire life, up until I moved to Fort Bragg.  No, Orange County is not like what you see on RHOC.  That's actually a newer development in Orange County, and far from the original areas of OC.  People love to stereotype the area - I actually had a old, drunk lady tell me, "Oh!  So you're a rich bitch!"  Um, hardly.  DH and I lived in a densely packed Hispanic neighborhood that was a few streets down from random gang shootings.  Great area, I miss it, and I'm not being facetious!
  • Speaking of the LBC, DH actually went to the same high school as Snoop Dogg, and graduated the same year!  Too bad he doesn't remember much (or chooses not to remember) about his HS experience, so he didn't know him personally back then.
  • I speak a decent amount of Spanish.  I took it for four years in high school, and one in college.  In a pinch, I can start an IEP meeting without a translator.  I went from having translators all the time in California to having no need for them in NC and only having one Spanish-speaking parent here in CO.  It's a little refreshing to have a Spanish speaker again.
  • I've been preoccupied with sunscreen lately.  I've been meaning to do a post about it - no lie!  Are you wearing your sunscreen?  The days are getting beautiful and that means you need to protect yourself!
  • Although I hate having to rebuy products, I am thankful for expiration dates.  I cleaned out my fridge this morning and it feels good to have it not look like such a CF.  I need to do the pantry next.  Expiration dates give me the push to clean stuff out!
  • DH's favorite part of my body is my butt and my thighs.  He noticed this morning that it's getting significantly smaller, thanks to my workout regime.  He's not happy.  I'm ecstatic!  :)  I need to stop screwing around and get to the gym already, even if I can't do all of my upper body stuff because of my wrist.
  • Right now the idea of a nap in our guest room sounds really appealing.  It's small, lots of sunlight, and really calm in there.  I also want to curl up and write a letter to Natalia at BCT, now that we have her address!  Digging around for my stationery the other night was quite a throwback!  I haven't written a letter in a while.
