Milspouse Friday Fill-In #29 + MilSpouse Weekly Roundup #22

Head on over to Wifey's to get in on the action this week!

1.  Since most if the country has had nasty weather, what has your weather been like this week?  It's been awesome!  I mean, if you consider awesome to be in the negatives.  I didn't even pay attention to the lowest of lows.  Last weekend we had 65 degree weather and it was damn amazing.    Then Mother Nature pulled a 180 on us and gave us -20 with a -40 windchill, or so I hear.  I was inside and/or sleeping during all of that nonsense.  The cool part is that on Tuesday and Wednesday we had snow days, even though there was no snow, really.  Everyone stayed home for the sake of safety - can't have the children waiting for the bus in subzero weather.  Our district is notorious for not calling snow days, so it was a special treat.  I was pretty productive those two days, and started cleaning for Noelle's visit this month.

2.  What is/are your best money saving tip(s)?  *crickets chirping*  I got nothing, really.  If someone has a brilliant strategy, please let me know.  The best one I had, historically, was when I was waitressing.  I used to save all of my coins and never change them in.  I used all of that money to go on a vacation with my xDH.  We bought two plane tickets and one night of lodging with all of our coins.  Nowadays, I try to save as much as I can by shopping at the commissary and cutting coupons.  I've also stopped stockpiling toiletries and personal care items, which is something I've documented on my other blog, called the "Use It Up Challenge."  You can't buy a new item until the existing ones have been exhausted.  It's really cut down on those Target runs and it helps clean out your cabinets of all of those half-used products.

3.  What was your favorite vehicle you’ve ever owned??  My '07 Harley-Davidson Street Bob, Henry, which I still own.  We fell in love back in February '07, so it's almost his birthday!  These pictures are from my PCS to North Carolina in '09.

4.  What is a question you’d like to see asked in a future fill-in? (Your question & blog just may appear one week!)  What duty station(s) are on your "No Way, Hell No, Not Going, Have Fun Unaccompanied" list and why?

5.  Fill in the blank: You might be a MilSpouse if…. (I will be including some of your answers in a future post (with a link to your blog, of course!)  You accidentally start to put down your spouse's SSN when filling out documents about yourself.

Catch up on your favorite milspouse bloggers and find some new ones at the Roundup!

I always end up writing down the bubs SSN instead of mine haha. Love the harley! I grew up on a 98 fatboy and LOVED it.

LOVE your #4 .. and started typing in my ain't no way/ain't no how ... but then I started thinking, am I REALLY that stubborn to voluntarily dig my heels into the ground and refuse to go? Don't get me wrong, the idea of moving to Yuma or 29 Palms turns my stomach because I'm a career girl ... but I can't say that I'd actually make him go unaccompanied for no other reason than: "I just don't want to."

Thanks Lydia! I'm a little partial to it! ;)

Taryn, i know when it comes down to it, most of us would go along, but I know there's stations we'd rather poke ourselves in the eye than to go to!

I forget my own SSN on a regular basis...

Have a great weekend!

The Use it up challenge can be so tricky sometimes, but it really does cut down on cost and clutter.
And I have forgotten my own SSN recently haha, struggles!

The one place I didn't want to go I ended up at... so my no way in hell list is empty right now, lol.

@Athena - Thanks hon! I'm going to try to!

@McDancer - It's really worked well for me, and then when I finally do get to buy a new product, I can splurge a little.

@Molly - I just took a look at your Blogger profile - DOH! I totally see where you're coming from now! Ouch!
