MilSpouse Friday Fill-In #23 + MilSpouse Weekly Roundup

I completely forgot about MFF this week!  Doh!  Check out Wifey's if you're interested.
1. If you were given $1,000 right now, how would you spend it?  Right now, basic supplies to sustain life - food, gas for the vehicles, bills.  Nothing fun, that is my life right now.  Ok, ok, maybe I'd buy one little makeup thing!  ;)

2.
If you had to choose a movie title (a real one that already exists) for your life story, what would it be?  Clearly, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly!  That just fits!  I've actually been going through IMDB's Top 250 and that's definitely the best fit for my life at this point.  I love it and it's a western - perfect!

3.
If you were a teacher, what subject would you like to teach?  SpEd math, baby!  LIVIN' THE DREAM!

4.
Has being a MilSpouse changed how you view holidays or how your holidays are celebrated? If so, how? If not, what hasn’t changed?  It has changed how often I see my family and how I spend my holidays, most definitely.  Thanksgiving has been much more different than when I grew up, where I spent the day with my mom's side of the family or my dad's side.  Last year my brother and I went to DC alone, this year I spent the holiday with DH's family.  Christmas hasn't changed a whole lot.  My family goes to Mexico for the holiday and I've been able to go these last few years.  There was only one year where I stayed behind because DH couldn't go and he was in town.  I don't think being a milspouse has changed how I view the holidays, other than wanting an Americana Christmas tree featuring military-themed ornaments and ornaments from our different duty stations.

5. What is your favorite Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate) memory?  I have so many great memories of Christmas in Mexico, and they typically involve hijinks that we got into - dancing on the bar with my brother to Usher, sneaking peaks at our gifts, playing coconut bowling, ordering nachos and "Coca Lights" while sunning under the palapas, etc.  That's what I'm talking about, baby, THAT'S my Christmas!

If you're not putting up lights this weekend like I am, why don't you catch up on your milspouse blog reading?  One of my BFFs (IRL), Taryn, is hosting!  Click on the banner and check out everyone's "best of" posts for the week.
