Happy 235th Birthday to the USMC!

November 10th is a holiday in our house - it's my husband's second birthday!  Regardless of the uniform he wears, he's a Marine, first and foremost.  That mentality and that training never goes away, and it affects how he performs his duties as a Soldier.  He's been successful in his military career because he is Marine.  Marines tend to flock together and it truly is a brotherhood.  DH formed close bonds with other prior-service Marines when he was in active duty.  He trusted those guys, knowing the background and the abilities that come along with that title.  To know a Marine is to love a Marine.  I can pick out Marines from a crowd and tend to gravitate towards them.  At the Airborne & Special Operations Museum in Fayetteville, NC, I was able to pick out the one employee that was a Marine.  :)  DH would give up all of his rank and start over, if it meant the Marine Corps would take him back (he was medically discharged).  One of my biggest success stories as a teacher just recently graduated from Marine Corps boot camp and I couldn't be more proud of him!  I'm rambling, let's get to the celebratory congratulations and pictures!

Happy 235th Birthday to some of my favorite Marines and Marine Families!  Shout outs to John @ Vintage Engineer Boots, Sarah and her DH @ Adventures in Life, Taryn and her newlywed DH @ Maine-ly Taryn, and to all of the other Marine spouses reading this post!
